Sensory Regulation Toolkit
This is a collection of favorite resources for children and adults to regulate the body, quiet the mind, and create a sense of peace and calm.
Our body is like a car engine. Sometimes it runs too fast, sometimes too slow, sometimes just right for the activity we are doing. To change your body's "engine speed", use activities from the senses which your body seems to be craving, or try an activity from a different sensory group.
For the Michiana area (Northern Indiana/Southern MIchigan near South Bend), check out Busy Hands of Michiana for sensory items. Children may need a referral from an OT. Contact Deanna at [email protected] for more information and a possible referral.
